Number one on my list of things to get reacquainted with is sewing. I loved sewing as a little girl, dolls clothes, curtains for my dolls house, bags, accessories you name it. The past few years have involved many house moves and, out of necessity, I’ve become quite adept at sewing curtains and roman blinds. If you want straight lines and nothing fancy I’m your girl!
Now I feel ready to step out of my curtain comfort zone and try something different. The first attempts earlier this year were a couple of twirly summer skirts for Ruby, one of which started out life as a thrifted pillow case that she absolutely loves. I’ve been pondering a while about how to extend the lifetime of some of her now too short jeans. There. I’ve typed it. Now I have to do it.
