Ever since Nina posted this recently, I've been craving a decent sausage roll. Light, flaky, buttery pastry with a hearty meat filling - a perfect warm treat for school lunchboxes or for the ski hill (I apologise for mentioning skiing in pretty much every post so far in 2011). This recipe from Lorraine Pascale and her series Baking Made Easy on the beeb (I miss you BBC) was quick, easy and very tasty. Spurred on by her "easy" approach, I made some of her parmesan and poppyseed lollipops yesterday (made heart shaped thanks to a cookie cutter). A perfect canape for a valentines themed potluck thrown by some neighbours this weekend.
