Can you tell?!!! In a flash of inspriation last night, I thought of making this. A pumpkin pincushion.
The intended purpose is a gift for a craft meeting I'm hosting later this month. It's a new group, a bunch of women who are trying to live with the seasons and our October meeting has a baking theme - we're making pumpkin and apple recipes. I thought I'd like to give everyone a little something, but wasn't sure what. This is just a prototype, I'd like to find a way of adding a stem - any ideas? Also I'm a felt novice and would like to use the proper stuff with more subtle colours for this project. I'll be hunting online for felt suppliers...if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!
Happy weekend - Thanksgiving here in Canada!
Very cute! I have some pumpkin print fabric I thought about doing that with but I think yours is better. Could you use a green pipecleaner for a stem? Or maybe a tiny knitted tube?
Lovely!

very cute pincushion! pumpkins are great, I agree a butten and some floss or green wool would make a good stalk.
