-29C with the wind chill yesterday. A bit of a rude awakening! 10cm of snow and warmer today.

And so it begins! Keep warm. I have to admit a slight nostalgia for winters in upstate NY - but then of course I'm forgetting how inconveneient and grubby the snow gets, and only remembering the fab bits. Like the time it dumped a foot while we were having a party and everyone ran outside for a huge snowball fight in the dark. How no-one fell into the lake I shall never know!

OMG -29. Do you have to stay in the house when this happens - I can imagine that you would just freeze instantly if you went outside. And here I was thinking it was cold in the UK at the moment.
