when you look at a pair of sandals and say to yourself. "Hmmm, they look comfy." SOLD! I seem to remember this being a Victoria Wood joke about scholl clogs. I draw the line at scholls but this is my second pair of birkenstocks, the previous ones lasted a good 4 years and I loved them dearly.
Time for a pedicure and a bit of lawn mowing I think.
I'm ancient, then. I just can not walk in flip flops or cute little slip on sandals for any amount of time, so I spend a ridiculous amount of time searching for sensible sandals with a heel strap every summer.
I had hoped that they merely looked retro, but now you mention it, the only people that have asked me where I bought them from were the past-middle-age crowd...

Love your Birkenstocks. I have some Scholls which are pretty similar and I think this Summer will be their third year, when they eventually die a death I shall buy some Birkenstocks I think.

wow, I'm also old!
I really want to get a new pair of Birkenstocks but since they are not free I might wait until next year...we're buying a house so I have to save my money...but I really want a new pair ;)

I had a pair of Birkenstocks and could never get on with them! Maybe just my poor old sensitive soles.
Love your flower accessory by the way.
Have a lovely weekend,
Nina x

Isn't that strange - just a week or so ago I thought 'I MUST buy some Birkenstocks'. Admittedly I fancied some with flowers on but I'd never had the thought before. Hmm. I just turned 37 - perhaps that's the Birky cut-off age x

I still have a pair that are a decade old; they need to be re-soled because the heels are wearing out but are otherwise perfect and still very comfy.

I think you should keep the dandelion as a toe ring!
