Hello friends
There's a little tutorial over there in the top left hand corner, showing you how to make a patchwork star. I made what seemed like hundreds of these for a craft fair last year and they sold out pretty fast. Ideal for using up scraps and dare I mention it, perfect for Cxxxxxxxs decorations?!!
Hope it makes sense! Any questions, please let me know!
It's October Scrap Busting Month at Sew Mama Sew - lots of great ideas for other scrappy projects!
This looks fabulous, Lina. Thank you so much! I'd love to make a whole basket of these to give out at Christmas--just to have on hand and give casually, you know?

so sweet. thanks for sharing a neat idea. I plan to make a few and add them to a package of fudge or peanut brittle as gifts. I have jars and jars of buttons.

Hey Lina
Not sure if this is protocol, but do you mind if I try some of these for my upcoming sale (if I have time?) - I've been looking for a tutorial for a patchy star (or at least wondering how they were made!)

Lina
I've been working on a small set of these ornaments - had a few done which I donated to our fundraise bazaar at work, and one complete that I wanted to show you --http://www.flickr.com/photos/kindredcrafters/4036825013/ - I had to make a few changes since I cut the diamonds way too small for it to be a good sized ornament . .they're pretty fun to make and a good way to use some of the button haul I came up with last week at the fabric flea market.

These are so cute! I always enjoy when you can get a nice outcome from little bits of things :) I wonder if you would mind if I made a few to donate to a local charity craft fair? I know you don't know me, but I would really appreciate it.

I might be an idiot... but what are the demensions on your diamond. I can't get mine to line up. I know its 2.5 inches long but how wide did you make it?

Hi - just popped over from Handmade Holidays and love your tutorial for the scrap star AND the candle! I can see several of both of these being made as gifts this year. Thank you!

Hi, I just saw your ornament on Handmade Holidays and made one this morning. It was so quick and fun - I'm thinking of making one to put on each present I give this year. Thanks!
