This week the children made teacher gifts. I've always wanted to make cookie mixes in a jar but never got my act together until I saw these on One Pretty Thing - an amazing resource which I've only recently discovered (I'm always late to the party). The most taxing part was buying all the necessary ingredients as the children did all of the measuring and pouring by themselves. A slightly messy business, but fun to sit back and watch them do it without me hovering over them. Thanks to Launder, Fold, Repeat who provided the recipe for Christmas cookies (made with oatmeal, dried cranberries and chocolate chips).
Tonight's job: adding labels.
SO cute! I love the fabric choice and think the multi-colored chocolate chips look great! We are delivering ours today!

They are so lovely!! I've seen this done in various places and always think it's such a good idea!! Only thing is, I can't seem to be able to find cheap jars over here... which kind of defeats the point!

Yes, I know what you mean. I was lucky as I had 3 boxes of 12 given to me this year. Although I think they'e only around $1-$2 CDN a jar when you buy a box of 12 here, much cheaper then in the UK I'm guessing!

I like this mix a lot. The cranberries add the perfect punch of color. Nice choice. I'll bet the kids are proud of their creations.
