Scenes from our weekend.
I'm signing off for the holidays. There's still wrapping and some baking to be done and despite two more days of work and school left, the mood is winding down to one of slow and festive in our house.
Not a moment too soon!
Wishing you a healthy, happy, holiday season. See you in 2010!
Oh, it looks like a wonderful time was had by all. We didn't get around to making our gingerbread house; I've baked all the pieces but have yet to assemble it and then stand well clear as they attack it with sweeties ...

Hey Lina
Hope your season's been merry and bright - what a lovely scene in front of your fireplace. Love it!
I'm late to the party too in terms of adding you to my reader. Gotcha there now (you were on our blogroll for eva but our blog is connected to a kindredcrafters email account, not my personal so I don't actually use that account for my blog sightseeing. . .
anyhoo . . read your post below with the lovely mixes in jars . . I've made many of these as gifts in the past - so wonderful - never thought to put in cranberries though - so festive ! Isn't Oneprettything great?? I heard a podcasted interview with rachel, the woman behind it and the gal has more than FOUR THOUSAND blogs on her reader. She's an amazing resource!!!

Hi. I was hopping you could give me some instructions on how to make those linen and pink stockings you have posted. Thanks!! love your blog!
Posted by: Rachel | December 29, 2009 at 01:34 AM
Hi Rachel, sorry I don't have a tutorial as such for the stockings, but I'm sure there's a similar one somewhere on the sew mama sew website. Basically it's made of 6 layers - the outer fabric (for which I use linen), quilter's batting and lining. I simply decorate the top layer with 3 patchwork squares, some embroidery and ribbon/ric rac and add a ribbon loop for hanging before assembling! Hope that helps.
