Thrifting. Today was my happiest thrifting day to date!
Reading this for book club.
Watching series 1 of Mad Men, I'm hooked.
Laughing very hard at this. Love Eddie Izzard.
Sewing maverick stars. For fun.
Running again. It's been a while. Ouch.
Knitting my first real item of clothing. With sock yarn and teeny needles.
Waiting. Not so patiently for spring.
How about you?
I'm loving that photo of those linens!

I also recently started watching season 1 of Mad Men. Now I can see what all the hype was about. It makes me want to pull out my mom's old sewing patterns and make some "vintage" style clothes.
Although I learned to knit when I was young I just picked it up again about a year ago. I bravely tried a hat after many garder knit scarves and now I'm hooked. I've got yarn for socks but I haven't tried them yet. Best of luck with yours.

I especially love the plates & the fabric--good thrifting is so satisfying. I've never watched Mad Men but now I s'pose I must give in! And, I'm about to knit my first bit of clothing (do baby caps count?) wish me luck, I'll need it!

Well, I just spent 20 minutes watching lego reenactions of Eddie Izzard skits. I should have been feeding my kids and cleaning up this pig sty...

Thanks Lia, so far I've managed to knit socks, hats and scarves. I'm actually using sock yarn to make a sweater - it'll take forever!

Reading more than usual. Winter??
Finished The Bishop's Man (Linden McIntyre), The Wife's Tale (Lori Lansens) since Mid-Jan and on to Happiness (Will Ferguson).
Spinning my wheels in sewing because I can't face my messy sewing room.
Working with a personal trainer for the first time. Interesting.
Love your lovely thrifty finds!!

Looks like a good time is being had! Gorgeous thrifty finds.
I have dropped the car off at the garage to have new tyres and brake pads, and am having an enforced stay-at-home-and-sort-out-the-spare-room day. Joy!

I used to run and I sort of miss it, but I can't bear the thought of those first few weeks when it feels so bad! But if I don't do some exercise I'll be one of those housebound people lifted out of their chair with a crane!
A sock yarn sweater sounds interesting...and a long project.x

I know how you feel. I have actually had to easy off because of shin splints this week. And I'm beginning to regret the sock yarn sweater, not sure what I was thinking!

Lovely thrift finds. I'm hoping that when I get my eldest to school in September and the twins to preschool three mornings a week that I might on occasion get to do some thrifting. I particularly like the china finds. I use to collect Midwinter china via thrift shops. I even found Terence Conrad stuff.
