Hello. No prizes for guessing where we've been lately. I'd like to share some photos of our wonderful trip back home, but quite frankly I took a bazillion and the task of sorting through them is just too overwhelming, I'm back to work, the children start school next week, we have an end of season soccer party to organize for the weekend and the youngest member of the family turned six yesterday.
We had a fabulous time and I'm definitely suffering from post holiday blues and jetlag - still waking at 4:30am.
A reminder of some of the things we loved and missed about England.
Stately homes
Legoland
Royal castles
Clotted cream
Hedgerows
Monsoon
Accessorize
Hobbs
Hob knobs
Marks and Spencers
Warm beer
Wagamamas
Stone walls
Driving on the left hand side
Roundabouts
Radio One
Flake 99s
Beach huts
Cats eyes
And of course, most of all our lovely family and friends who made the trip so special. Thank you!
Mmm - Hob Nobs - might just have one with a cuppa now! And I'm with you on Wagamama's too. We always head there following our holidays for some much missed edamame beans and ginger chicken udon! Glad you had a good trip!

I'm glad you had fun - only sorry we didn't get the chance to hook up. Perhaps I'll tempt you back (with hobnobs).

Thanks Teresa - I'm happy to be back in my home, but it's a bittersweet thing to live abroad..!

I have to hang my head in shame and confess that more than one essay at uni was completed with the help of an entire packet of chocolate hobnobs. It makes me feel a bit sick to think about it now, which is probably why I haven't eaten one in years! Might have to remedy that ...
I'm glad you had a good trip. I always used to go back to the US with a suitcase full of food!

I'm going to go with the Flake 99's mmmmm, hope the weather wasn't too bad for you as it's been awful lately

I smuggled some golden syrup and some of my mum's jam and chutney in our suitcase. Oh and chocolate buttons too!

It wasn't too bad, but we were freezing as we had somewhat optimistically packed lots of shorts and tshirts! Luckily we only had one or two days of rain.

You are never going to believe this...but we've just returned to the UK from a 2 week holiday in Montreal!! LOL What are the odds of that! We've got jetlag too!!

It must be strange to come "home" and then go back "home" at the end of your holiday! Hope it isn't too long before you get to come back to the UK. Lucy xx

What are the odds?!! Hope the weather in Mtl was kinder to you than it was to us in the UK!

Lucky you. My parents have just visited, but I don't know when my next trip home will be. Still, at least I have a Legoland and an English import store in my vicinity. I might have to see if they have a flake bar that I can cut up now you have me hankering after a 99...
There's also a roundabout here, too, but they didn't paint lanes on it and the Americans can't seem to figure it out, so I steer clear whenever possible...
