I blew off the mountain of dust from my sewing machine and sewed a box. Actually it's been half finished for a while, like a lot of things on the to do list, but these past two weeks I have been very disciplined, forcing myself to finish a whole bunch of projects, including painting the powder room (downstairs loo).
The sewing box is for my daughter, made from this amazing tutorial. I added a little pin cushion and a few supplies to start her off and I will encourage her to make a little needlebook. To be honest, I'm not sure she's even vaguely interested in sewing, but wanted to make her a kit, you know, just in case...
This is amazing and so lovely! I hope you will share photos in my Beeper Bebe project Flickr group--too good not to share!

Gorgeous! I've had that project on my to do list ever since I first saw the tutorial. Yours turned out beautifully!

I've said before how envious I am of your sewing skills and I'll say it again! So cute! I wish I had a daughter to impose my knitting knowledge onto. I've tried to convince my step daughter but she thinks it's far too boring! (the horror of it all!) Maybe one of my sons won't mind too much.....

It ought to entice her...

What a sweet project! Hope your daughter likes it...and if not, I suspect you will gladly take ownership of it :o)

I just wanted to pop in and say that yesterday I tried your Apple Crumble cake recipe that you posted awhile back...so tasty! Thanks for the recipe..I'll definitely make this again! (It's perfect for us as it has no egg in it and there are 2 of us allergic to egg) It's a keeper!! :o)

Nice little box, maybe your daughter will show interest after you made her this box, if I was her I surely start sewing and I'll be proud with my fancy little box :d

It's beautiful! I'm guilty of angling my kids towards crafting. So far it seems to be my son who has the most patience for that sort of stuff. I love watching him sitting quietly on the sofa doing cross-stitch or what-have-you.
