Like clockwork, this week I've noticed the winter blahs slowly creeping in. The upside is that because I've blogged about it every single year, I know that the feeling won't last too long. One way of distracting myself while I adjust to the change of season is to shake things up a little. Inspired by Claudia and Ali, and the What I Wore Wednesday ladies I am making an effort to dress better for the next 30 days and posting the results on flickr.
This is not me attempting to be a 20 something fashionista, it's about resisting the urge to wear yoga pants or the same pair of jeans everyday. (Although, I will likely wear jeans most days!).
Today's outfit:
top - Next (thanks Mum and Dad), jeans - Oasis (I've had these 5 years!), boots - Winners.
What a good idea! I think it'd be fun to document what I wear, too. I'll have to try that sometime. Love the outfit!

Can't wait to see all your outfits. Have a lovely weekend. xox

I don't know why taking a picture of myself makes me have more fun and take a little more care when I dress, but it does. I'm glad you're joining in (have Flickr mailed you).
And I don't think I ever had fashionista days - I was a bit of a tomboy then. So I have a little catching up to do!

It's good to dig out the cardis at this time of year and I like layers to hide my wobbly bits! Have just rented a light box to try and counteract the winter blahs. Lovely top, good work Mum and Dad!x

Great outfit...and just the sort of thing I'd wear. Look forward to seeing your further outfits.

That's a lovely outfit Lina. Casual yet stylish. I'm feeling a little blah-ish too (post-illness I think) and will try to pop something slightly more smart on today I think. Thanks for the inspiration.

That's such a lovely idea, not to mention a lovely outfit.
I considered joining in for all of 2 seconds, when I realised I actually only have one serviceable pair of jeans. I have lots of other pairs of jeans that really shouldn't be seen on the high street let alone on the internet. (*note to self: go shopping.)

I didn't know you could rent them! I find we get a bit more sun here than back home (even if the temps are cooler) and that does make it slightly easier than it used to be for me.

That's a really fun thing to do.
Working from home, I fear I would cry if I took pictures of myself each day - I'm wearing the same old stuff I've had for years, and now some of it is too big but I'm still wearing it anyway! I do at least get dressed everyday, despite being a BIG fan of my PJ's.

i totally know where you're coming from. Trying up up my wardrobe just a little this fall, too. Not that i shower/dress before noon anyway... oh well. ;)

I don't think that I could do this. We went away last weekend, I'm yet to do the laundry and I'm struggling to find clean clothes that fit. Apparently I don't even have 12 outfits, let alone 30. So much for my delusions that I had improved upon my fashion sense by adding a couple of blouses into the t-shirt and jeans mix...
I don't get the winter blahs, though. I get all excited when the weather starts to cool off enough for jeans. I asked my husband if it was too early to start putting up Christmas decorations the other day. He said yes. Maybe I should get a job in a store: they have their decorations up.
